Max Basch is an award winning Director/DP.
He is based between Brooklyn and LA.
His feature directorial debut,
“Kenny Scharf: When Worlds Collide” premiered in
competition at SXSW. He has gone on to show films
at DOCNYC, HotDocs, Aspen Film Festival, and
Woodstock Film Festival. His recent DP
work for “In the Shadow of Palms” had it’s
World Premier at Tribeca Film Festival.
He received his B.A
in Photography and Philosophy from Bard College
and only discovered his love for motion picture
after continuous encounters with magic crystals
whose light he captured on emulsions which
parlayed in effect, a light unto him.
